The Perfect Encounter

It was a beautiful summer day, even with a slight breeze and heat. It was a bustling city centre filled with children and adults.

In the middle of my shopping trip, I was approached by two men who needed directions to the train station.

After directing them, I turned and walked away. However, as I was about to turn and walk the opposite way, one of them started speaking Punjabi to me. In the end, I said, "I apologise, I don't speak Punjabi," because I couldn't understand what he was saying! He was accompanied by a young man in his late 20s or early 30s. To understand what the other man was saying, he translated.

Although I had never met this man, he knew my struggles and problems. It freaked me out, knowing that this random person turned up out of the blue and listed everything about me.

Something was given to me by him. It was an emerald-green stone that was shining in his palm. He said to keep this stone with me at all times, and then watch how things will slowly get better in your life.

Having no idea what to do, I took it and started walking away. I looked over my shoulder after walking a few steps, and they both disappeared. My mind wandered for a moment, wondering where these men could go. Since one of the men walked with his stick, they couldn't go far.

I walked back home along the same route to the train station; the creepiest thing was that I did not see those men anywhere. 

Despite some people believing stones have healing properties, I never knew what they were for, so I threw them away.

After returning home, I shared my experience with my family. To get a better understanding of the stone, they wanted to see it. Seeing as I no longer had it, my mom told me to go and find it.

So there I was with my dad, walking back to the place where I threw this green stone, knowing it would be impossible to find since it was so small. Something this small would seem impossible to find, but I was wrong; there it was on the pebble footpath, as if it wanted to be found.

My difficulties eased away in the presence of this stone. As a result, things turned out positively for me. Despite my attempts to lose it, I always found it again.
